Sparky Walker. Now I'm not sure where the Sparky comes from as he isn't an electrician and he's certainly no bright spark so I can only imagine it is a rhyme for his name, although Marky would seem quite a cute name for a female pet it doesn't really sound that menacing for a centre forward, Mark Hughes perhaps excepted.
Anyway, Sparky has recently learned to drive which should help him turn up for training once in a while and perhaps allow him easier access to the hospital where he often spends many a week unfortuantely every year. The reason being the man only has one lung.
Famed for his love of Liverpool FC, and not Bolton Wanderers from where he originates, Sparky has a wonderfully soft, dulcet toned voice which unfortunately though has the draw back of not letting him be able to say the sound "o". So if you're experiencing a Royals game in any form and hear the phrase "Or nor yor tor slor" you'll know it's the catchphrase of Red Rose Sparky.
